At least 42 people were killed and scores injured in an Israeli strike on a UN school in Gaza strip in the fourth such attack on Tuesday, Palestinian medics said. Hundreds of Palestinian refugees had taken shelter at the school located in the northern town of Jabaliya when an Israeli tank shelled the building, they said.

The global economic meltdown has hit the preparation of 2010 Commonwealth Games and Indian Olympic Association president Suresh Kalmadi on Tuesday said the budget for the mega-event will be increased in view of the financial crisis. "The budget for the Games will be increased slightly considering the escalating prices of raw material used in construction.
