Mumbai: Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh's resignation was perhaps inevitable for the Congress to save its face in Maharashtra. The Congress has had to let go of Deshmukh. In light of the public's growing outrage over the recent terrorist attack, Deshmukh's ouster was inevitable.
On Thursday, the veterans from the Congress party will be in Mumbai to announce the next chief minister for Maharashtra. Will it be Ashok Chavan, Prithviraj Chavan, Govindrao Adik or Narayan Rane?
