Ajmer: BJP leader L K Advani on Monday kept up his attack against the Central Government saying the environment of terror will not go away till it remains in power.

"The fear and terror that has enveloped the nation will not go till this government remains in power," the party's Prime Ministerial face said, addressing an election rally here.

“The US intelligence had warned the government about the impending attacks beforehand—that terror attacks will happen, the terrorists will come through sea-route.”

"Then why didn't the government take action? What was the government doing?"

Unimpressed with Shivraj Patil's resignation as Home Minister over the Mumbai terror strikes, the BJP leader said: "It's fine that the Home Minister has resigned. But ultimately, there is an environment of fear, terror and insecurity in the country. It won't go away till this government remains in power."

The party earlier chose to describe Patil's resignation over the issue as "too little, too late".
